I bought the "swirl" Tenmoku & it's exquisite: it's beautiful to watch the colors in the cup change as you drink the tea. The attention to detail in the presentation is amazing. I wish I could upload two pictures because I took one of the beautiful, lined box the teacup comes in, complete with a pretty metal latch.

I love the design at the bottom of the cup and the color of the glaze! The swirl gives texture to the cup bottom and makes for something beautiful to look at while drinking my tea. My only complaint would be a bigger cup to hold more liquid.

Swirl is absolutely beautiful. The glaze is stunning, it has a wonderful weight, and it fits my palm perfectly. The outside of the cup warms nicely from my hot tea, never too hot to hold, just the right temperature. I love the size of it since it's just the right amount for me to finish leisurely before it gets cold.

This bowl is really really pretty. I love the swirl detail inside, so you have something to look at while you drink your tea. This bowl is a different shape, a bit more shallow and wide than the other ones. The metallic tones look beautiful against a background of black, dark blue and hints of green. A true feast for the eyes!

For anyone out there wondering, this swirl teacup holds exactly 1/2 cup of liquid and one sterling silver soup spoon.

It is wonderful as a miso bowl! I use it for portion control as it is simply perfect for those days when I want just a half cup of soup and a sandwich. They work great as rice bowls too!

I also use it for offering windmill fruit candies at tea time.

I look forward to ordering more of these!
